Pinterest Algorithm Update in 2020

Heads up! Pinterest algorithm update

Pinterest DOES have an algorithm but it’s nothing like Facebook or Instagram ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿฝ

We’ve already talked about the importance of being consistent and posting regularly so this should be pretty easy ๐Ÿค“

Pinterest is looking for, and rewarding us, content creators, people who upload content.

So while Facebook and Instagram are focused on how many likes/comments you get in a certain timeframe, Pinterest is saying “come on, bring it over here and we’ll help you get more people engaging with your content” ๐Ÿฅฐ

Yea, I know that may not be realistic, right? Trying to come up with completely new content after you’ve taken hours, days or even weeks to create the first piece?!? ๐Ÿ˜ฑ

No, Pinterest just wants to see a fresh graphic. You can create a new graphic that directs people back to your *old* landing page, lead capture, website, blog, sales page, podcast, etc.

Yes, you can direct people to a 2016 blog if you want *as long as* the graphic is new (fresh) to Pinterest.

When you create a new image, create at least 2-3 more so you can pin them later. You’re already in creative mode anyway and now is the time to practice your skills or get better at creating images if you are uncomfortable.

โœ๐Ÿฝ Upload at least one new image per week. Remember, you’re being rewarding for consistency and also for uploading *fresh* content to the platform.

โœ๐Ÿฝ If you have a hard time remembering to post, use a scheduler such as Tailwind.
